PHONE NUMBERS


Administrators on your account have full access to all of your Intulse phone numbers. You have the option of purchasing new phone numbers through Intulse or porting your existing numbers from your previous provider to your Intulse account. If you are purchasing any new phone numbers, system admins are able to search for and purchase them in the Account Center without needing to contact Intulse Support.

To purchase a new number, log into the Account Center and select Phone Numbers in the Phone System menu. You will see several different subheadings related to the phone numbers for your account. Select Purchase from that list.

PURCHASE A PHONE NUMBER

Select the type of phone number you would like to purchase. Both toll-free and local numbers are available. If you are purchasing a local number, enter your area code. Click the button to SEARCH to see a list of available numbers.

If you're looking for a specific number and cannot find it here, contact our support team either via a support ticket or by calling 717-839-5000. Vanity numbers are also available upon request for an additional fee.

SELECTING A PHONE NUMBER

Once the list of available numbers is displayed, you have some additional filter options.

  • If you want your phone number to include specific digits, use the Filter Results field to narrow your search.
  • Select whether this will be a Voice or Fax line.
  • Check the box if you would like to see numbers with Immediate Availability instead of waiting 5-10 business days for a number to port.

The same filter options are available for toll-free numbers. Simply select the toll-free option in the Number Type search field. Most toll-free numbers require a porting period.

Choose a number from the list and click the button to Purchase that number. You will then be presented with a confirmation field, informing you of the billing and porting details related to your purchase. Type the words I AGREE in the box and click the OK button to finalize the purchase of the number.

Your new number will be displayed in your list of phone numbers on the "Manage" tab.

  • If the number was available for immediate purchase, you will be able to manage the details related to messaging, E911, CNAM, and failover routes.
  • If the number needs to port, you will be able to track the porting process on the Manage tab. When porting completes, you will then be able to manage messaging, E911, CNAM, and failover routes for the new number.
