Be prepared for your Welcome Call with the following information:

  • Set open hours for when you want your phones to ring. (Phones will not ring outside of the hours you enter on the calendar. After hours options will be discussed during your welcome call.) Follow this LINK for instructions.
  • Be prepared to explain how calls will be routed during OPEN hours. (Should they go to a voice menu, an individual, or a group?)
  • Be prepared to explain how calls will be routed during CLOSED hours. (Should there be a closed voice menu? Should they go to an individual's voicemail box, or a general voicemail box?)
  • Create any system recordings that you know will be needed. (These are system wide recordings for voice menus, ring groups, customized industry specific disclosures, etc. You will be asked to create these recordings at the beginning of step 6. If you know what recordings you need, it would be helpful to have them recorded prior to the Welcome Call.) Follow this LINK for instructions.

Your open hours are set and your system recordings are created. You have a plan for how calls should be routed.
