EXP50 USER GUIDE


OVERVIEW

The Yealink EXP50 expansion module (sidecar) has a 4.3 inch color screen with 3 pages of 20 programmable line keys for a total of 60 keys. Up to 3 sidecars can be added to most Yealink phones, adding up to 180 programmable keys.

INSTALLATION

Begin by unplugging your desk phone.

  1. Turn both the phone and sidecar over and lay them on a flat, non-slip surface.
  2. Connect the EXP50 to your phone using the supplied connecting sheet and screw.
  3. Connect the USB jack on the host phone and the mini USB jack on the sidecar using the supplied cable.
  4. Attach the stand of the sidecar, plug your phone back in and turn them both upright on your desk.

Follow these same steps to connect additional sidecars.

STARTUP

As your EXP50 powers on, you will see a welcome screen that indicates that the device is loading. Once that message clears, you can begin to assign the desired settings.

Wallpaper

You can customize the sidecar's wallpaper via the host phone.

  1. Select the Menu softkey and navigate to the Basic menu.
  2. Select Display and then EXP Wallpaper.
  3. Use the arrows to scroll through the available wallpaper images.
  4. Choose an image and select Save.

PROGRAMMING LINE KEYS

To program a key on your EXP50, press and hold the desired key and the phone will enter the setting screen of this key.

Speed Dial

Store frequently called numbers that can be easily dialed by pressing a single line key.

  • Type: Select Speed Dial from the drop-down list.
  • Account ID: Line 1
  • Label: Enter a name that will allow you to identify this phone number.
  • Value: Enter the desired number you want to dial directly.
BLF

Store extensions and shared voicemail boxes that can be easily dialed.

  • Type: Select BLF from the drop-down list.
  • Account ID: Line 1
  • Label: Enter a name that will allow you to identify this extension or voicemail.
  • Value: Enter the desired extension you want to dial directly.
    • To monitor a shared voicemail box, enter *98 followed by the mailbox number.
  • Extension: Leave this blank.

The LED indicator will glow green when an extension is available, or red when unavailable.
For shared voicemail boxes, it will glow red when there are new messages.

Any other more advanced features, such as call park, etc can be selected by your system administrator within the Account Center.

Use the Page Keys at the bottom of the sidecar to scroll to additional pages of programmable line keys. Each page will display 20 keys, for a total of 60 keys on each sidecar.
